Recently we had the honor of crafting a custom wedding band for Memphis May Fire's drummer, Jake Garland. And just like their music, this ring rocks.

The Sentimental Materials in Jake's Custom Ring

Jake had several meaningful materials he wanted to feature in his wedding ring including drumstick wood, weathered to a beautiful smoky grey, weathered whiskey barrel wood, elk antler, and most touching of all, gold flakes from his late father's wedding band. Our artisan, Brad, did an incredible job of crafting these sentimental items in a breathtaking custom silver wedding band. 

What This Custom Wedding Ring Means to Jake

The meaning woven into each part of this ring makes this custom piece even more beautiful and precious.

In an Instagram post, Jake describes his wedding band and some of the stories behind the materials he chose to include in the design. 

 "The first of 3 inlays is made from Tennessee whiskey barrels, signifying our move to Tennessee that started this journey to our wedding (also for my love for making cocktails in my off time.)" said Jake.

The next two materials come from sentimental items Jake sent in: drumsticks and his father's wedding band.

The final inlay of naturally shed elk antler pays tribute to his wife's career at the Nashville Zoo.

"Everything that shows off our lives together and I couldn’t be more happy with such a beautiful ring to wear every day ☺️" said Jake.
