The Story Behind the Ring
Antique Tobacco Barn Walnut Wood Ring Inlay
The antique walnut sourced for this wooden ring was hand-picked from a collector in Asheville, North Carolina. It originated in an old tobacco barn constructed in the late 1800s. It's over 100 years old based on the date of the barn, and the tree is likely another 100 years old as well.
When the settlers first came to the New World they left the forests untouched for centuries with a canopy of colossal trees as far as the eye could see. Much of that old growth is gone, which is sad, not only because we don't have the opportunity to see what our ancestors saw, but also because trees begin to exhibit different characteristics the older they get, and it shows in the wood. We feel fortunate to hold a piece of history, one that was alive and steady when the future of our nation was so uncertain.
Sea Lavender Ring Inlay
Known as the “everlasting flower” sea lavender has long been a symbol of success, beauty, sympathy and remembrance. Due to the lasting color of the flower, even when dried, they are often given as a gift to a loved one on a journey far from home as a way of saying, “I miss you”. Our sea lavender is found scattered throughout the coasts of the British Isles. It is a beautiful sight to see this flower in all seasons of its life and also looks so lovely in a ring.
Titanium Wedding Band
Titanium! The awesomest alloy! The incredible metal! We love titanium because it's light weight yet very durable. It has a warm feel compared to other metals and can take on a number of different shades depending on the finish.
We crafted our titanium bands as an ode to the old Airstream trailers and the silver airplanes from the 1930s and 40s. Your ring is guaranteed to have a classy look that spans generations!
