You said “Yes!” and now the planning starts. It’s exciting, overwhelming, and can be pretty pricey too. The good news? If you are local to the Charlotte area—or looking to get married here—there are so many venues to consider, with options to fit almost any budget. As a semi-recent bride (October marks five years for us!), picking the venue was the most stressful part. Between finalizing a guest count, touring venues, comparing packages, and finding a space that felt like our fairytale, it was a bit daunting. Once the decision was made—especially with an all-inclusive venue—it was smooth sailing.
For brides who want to plan everything themselves, you may be able to select a venue that offers a day-of coordinator to take the burden off the big day while still allowing you to take the reins during planning. Many venues also offer packages that include catering, cake, DJ, florist, and décor. As the wedding industry has grown, many competitive venues aim to make your wedding day—or weekend—as simple and stress-free as possible. The trick? Deciding!
Are you opting for a rustic wedding venue? Or maybe a luxury experience from start to finish for you and your guests? Are you more whimsical and dreaming of a garden wedding? Or perhaps you want something small and intimate in a library or historic home? The options are almost endless, but the good news is that Charlotte offers all of the above. Below are some of our favorites!
Charlotte Wedding Venues for the Perfect Indoor & Outdoor Wedding: T. Austin Finch House

The Historic Finch House is the venue my husband and I chose. While it is about 45 minutes north of Charlotte in Thomasville, it met our needs and matched our style. The mansion is roughly 7,000 square feet and offers both indoor and outdoor reception options. It also has bridal and groom suites that allow you to get ready on-site the day of your wedding.
One of the main selling points for us was that The Finch House offers an all-inclusive package that includes catering, cake, wedding planning, as well as table, chair, and linen rentals. They also have preferred vendors you can work with—people who know the venue well.
We also loved the option to have our ceremony in the library and then transition outside to the courtyard and covered tent for cocktail hour and the reception. The tent can be enclosed during colder or rainy weather, and heaters are available to ensure guests stay comfortable.
In the years since we got married, they have also added the option for the bride and groom to stay overnight on-site, allowing you to forgo transportation after the reception.

A Classic, Elegant Charlotte Wedding Venue for History Lovers: Separk Mansion

Separk Mansion is another historic home turned wedding venue and, in my opinion, one of the top luxury venues in the greater Charlotte area. Located in Gastonia, it’s an easy trip up I-85. The mansion was built in 1919 by textile mogul Joseph Separk, and over 100 years later, it’s still used for lavish gatherings and joyful occasions.
Separk specializes in making your day as stress-free as possible with all-inclusive packages. Their package includes planning and coordination, food, bar, cake, tables, centerpieces, décor, chairs, and linens. For a guest count of 100, pricing varies depending on the day of the week. Saturdays start at $18,500, while Fridays and Sundays start at $17,600. Larger guest lists are welcome, with an additional fee per guest.
With both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, you’re covered regardless of heat, rain, or anything Mother Nature throws your way. Whether you choose the formal garden or the ballroom, you’ll have peace of mind with a backup plan. You’ll also have access to the venue for your rehearsal, as well as bridal and groom suites for getting ready—plus snacks and complimentary champagne on the big day!

For brides looking for a classic, luxury-filled wedding, Separk is a phenomenal option at a very fair price.
A Creative Uptown Charlotte Wedding Venue for a Lively Celebration: The Long Room
The Long Room is located in the heart of Charlotte and prides itself on being a venue centered around creativity, expression, and community. Both owners come from dance backgrounds—one in ballet and the other in tango.
Located on Central Avenue near Belmont and Plaza Midwood, the space offers over 2,800 square feet for events. Built in 1953, the historic building maintains an industrial feel with exposed brick, tall ceilings, and wrought iron details. It also features professional-grade theatrical lighting and sound systems, along with a state-of-the-art sprung hardwood dance floor. It’s safe to say The Long Room is ready to get the reception started in a big way—it was made for celebration and dancing!
Packages start at $3,000 and include 10 hours of access on your wedding day. The venue features a main floor/stage area, a wraparound balcony, and two large staircases—perfect for a grand entrance. The upstairs includes a kitchen and lounge, and there’s also a full bar and open-air courtyard.
The Long Room does not currently offer inclusive packages, so you will be responsible for identifying your preferred vendors, but they do offer Dance Packages for couples looking to make their first dance something to remember! Dance packages are add-ons and start at $500.
An Elegant Wedding Venue with Outdoor Views: The Ivory Barn
The Ivory Barn is located in Huntersville, about 20 minutes north of Charlotte. Situated on 11 acres of farmland and just 4 miles from hotels, restaurants, and I-77, it offers both convenience and charm. As the name suggests, it’s a bright white barn with a clean, classic Southern aesthetic.
The barn itself is over 5,000 square feet, climate-controlled, and includes bridal and groom suites. Tall windows and soaring ceilings provide beautiful meadow views and abundant natural light. The outdoor space is equally stunning, with a large patio for cocktail hour under bistro lighting and a covered pavilion with a greenhouse-inspired design.
One of the biggest perks of The Ivory Barn is its open vendor policy, allowing you to choose vendors you feel most comfortable with. Pricing ranges from $5,350 to $7,400, depending on the season and day of the week. A 30-day planner is required but not included in the base price.
The rental also includes all-day access, early access for photo sessions, a one-hour rehearsal, use of suites, a catering kitchen, built-in bar, tables, seating, fire pits, and décor.
Recently voted the best wedding venue in Lake Norman, The Ivory Barn is a stunning choice for a classic Southern wedding.
A Nature-Inspired Wedding Venue Near Charlotte: Morning Glory Farm
Morning Glory Farm is located just outside Charlotte in Unionville and sits on 48 acres of farmland. Originally a family home, it creates the feel of an intimate backyard wedding. With gardens, wooded pathways, and water views over the pastures, the property offers endless possibilities. The property is also home to some traditional farm animals and a blueberry patch as well, giving you plenty of options to have unique photo opportunities while on site as well.
Pricing ranges from $6,500 to $17,500 depending on the season and day, with full weekend rentals reaching up to $40,000. The venue is not available in July and August. Amenities include 12 hours of access, a bridal cottage and groom’s loft, unlimited planning visits, a venue manager, parking attendant, rehearsal time, and seating for up to 175 guests.
You must use one of their preferred caterers and bartenders, but other vendors are flexible.
Spaces include the Stone Cottage, Barn Loft, Hearth Patio, and the Garden Room—each offering a unique backdrop for your day. With a mix of historic charm, natural beauty, and even farm animals, the possibilities are endless. The Garden Room is my personal favorite—with all glass walls and lush greenery surrounding the greenhouse-style space, it has an elegant and whimsical feel without needing much decor.
