When you hear the term wedding ring set, you might be a little bewildered, especially if you’ve searched online and gotten mixed results. It can be confusing, so we’ll keep it clear-cut and simple. Let’s go over the differences between a bridal ring set, a wedding band set, and a wedding ring set and showcase some of our favorite R&M ring sets along the way.
What is a bridal ring set?
A traditional bridal ring set is a bride’s engagement ring and wedding band. Typically, the bride receives these rings at different times: first the engagement ring when the groom-to-be pops the question, followed by the wedding band during the wedding ceremony.
Some brides prefer to complete their bridal ring set with just those two rings. Others enjoy adding a new band to their ring stack to celebrate milestones throughout their marriage.

What is a wedding band set?
Typically, the terms “wedding band set” and “wedding ring set” are interchangeable. Here at R&M, we prefer to use the term “wedding band set” to describe a ring set that just features his and her wedding bands. These are the bands the couple exchanges during their wedding ceremony.

What is a wedding ring set?
As mentioned before, people often use “wedding ring set” and “wedding band set” to refer to the same thing. When we say “wedding ring set”, we are typically referring to a ring set that includes three rings: her engagement ring, her wedding band, and his wedding band.
