10K gold is harder than 14K and 18K, but 14K and 18K are more pure and therefore more valuable. 18K gold has the highest purity and is the most valuable, but it is also the softest among the three. While a 10K gold ring will be nearly identical in color to a 14K gold ring, an 18K gold ring will have a richer, deeper yellow hue due to its higher gold content.

The Alder, a deciduous tree to the Pacific Northwest, supports the survival of native wildlife through its ability to deliver life-sustaining nitrogen to the soil. Much like the Alder, our 100% recycled white gold wedding band supports life on our planet by using a pure and sustainable form of refined gold that is just as valuable as standard gold but eliminates the negative environmental impacts caused by gold mining.

Since our rings are handcrafted to order, it is important for you to use one of our ring sizers and not depend on a traditional jewelers’ sizing kit to get an accurate size. Our rings are different because many are wider than traditional bands and most of our rings come in a comfort fit style.

The Story Behind This Ring
Solid Gold with the Soul of the Forest
The Alder takes its name from a tree known for growing where others can't — at the edge of rivers, in rich lowland soil, with roots that hold the bank together. It's a quiet kind of strength.
That same character lives in this band. The tree bark texture is hand-applied, pressing the organic ridge and grain of real bark directly into solid gold. No two rings come out exactly the same — the texture has its own direction, its own depth.
