One of the most meaningful aspects of working in the wedding industry is hearing people’s love stories. It doesn’t matter if the couple has been dating for a year or been married for fifty; that same sparkle twinkles in their eyes when they get a chance to describe how they found each other. Kate very kindly did us the honor of sharing how her and Matt met, fell in love, and found the perfect custom engagement ring and unique wedding band to commemorate their story.

“Matt first saw me on Instagram in 2022 after I posted a photo with my passport captioned, ‘Where to next?’ He commented on it and invited me to Italy for a wedding at a castle… but I didn’t respond. Two and a half years later, we started chatting through Instagram regarding similar interests, which eventually led to calls, FaceTimes, and him driving to Ohio (from Missouri) for New Year’s 2025. I flew to see him in February, and he asked me to be his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. We did long distance for seven months, seeing each other once a month. On September 29th, Matt proposed with a custom Rustic & Main diamond engagement ring, and the next day we were married beside a creek! It has by no means been a traditional story, but it was unique and special to us! We have seen SO many God moments from the beginning to now!” — Kate Bowser

Matt selected one of our sterling silver wedding band designs, The Archer, while Kate chose to customize a 2-carat oval-cut diamond engagement ring alongside our Design Team.
