This custom Dorothy is built around a 0.96ct cushion cut lab-grown diamond, graded D color and VVS1 clarity, a combination that puts this stone firmly in the top tier of both color and clarity grading. The cushion cut carries the warm, romantic sparkle it's known for, rounded corners and deep facets that throw light in soft, broad flashes rather than sharp pinpoints.
Lining the shoulders is a pavé setting of brilliant cut moissanite, a swap from the diamond pavé of the original Dorothy that keeps the same continuous sparkle down the band at a different price point and with a different fire. Moissanite's higher refractive index means these accents actually throw more rainbow flash than diamond pavé would, giving the band its own personality instead of simply supporting the center stone.
The setting is 10K white gold, cool and bright, letting the diamond's D color grade read as colorless as it's graded. The four-prong head keeps the cushion diamond secure while leaving as much of the stone visible as possible, and the pavé shoulders taper smoothly into the band for a clean, unbroken line.
