10K gold is harder than 14K and 18K, but 14K and 18K are more pure and therefore more valuable. 18K gold has the highest purity and is the most valuable, but it is also the softest among the three. While a 10K gold ring will be nearly identical in color to a 14K gold ring, an 18K gold ring will have a richer, deeper yellow hue due to its higher gold content.

The lavender flower represents many ideas that make it an ideal inlay for a wedding band: devotion, love, and virtue. We love how the titanium ring base frames the lavender flowers to create this elegant purple wedding band. Our crafters carefully hand-place the lavender flowers to create a truly unique pattern reminiscent of an impressionist painting, which inspired us to name this ring The Cassatt.

The Story Behind This Ring
Sea Lavender
Mary Cassatt was an American Impressionist who spent most of her life in France, painting the private moments of women's lives with a tenderness and directness that set her apart from her male contemporaries.
This ring takes her name. The inlay is sea lavender — the "everlasting flower," held in high regard as a symbol of devotion and remembrance, traditionally given to loved ones departing on long journeys. Our craftspeople hand-place the flowers to create a pattern that feels like something from an Impressionist painting.
