10K gold is harder than 14K and 18K, but 14K and 18K are more pure and therefore more valuable. 18K gold has the highest purity and is the most valuable, but it is also the softest among the three. While a 10K gold ring will be nearly identical in color to a 14K gold ring, an 18K gold ring will have a richer, deeper yellow hue due to its higher gold content.

Since our rings are handcrafted to order, it is important for you to use one of our ring sizers and not depend on a traditional jewelers’ sizing kit to get an accurate size. Our rings are different because many are wider than traditional bands and most of our rings come in a comfort fit style.

The Alder takes its name from a tree known for growing where others can’t—along riverbanks and in rich lowland soil, with roots that help hold the earth together. It’s a quiet kind of strength.
That same character lives in this band. The tree bark texture is applied by hand, pressing the organic ridges and grain of real bark directly into solid silver. No two rings turn out exactly the same—each texture has its own direction, depth, and natural character.
