The USS North Carolina led every major Pacific naval offensive in WWII, earning 15 battle stars. After her decommissioning, the original teak wood from her decks was released in limited supply.
The Expedition pairs that historic teak with Muonionalusta meteorite dust — from one of only 40 known fragments of the oldest meteorite ever found — in a ring that connects the depth of the ocean and the edge of space in a single gold band.
