10K gold is harder than 14K and 18K, but 14K and 18K are more pure and therefore more valuable. 18K gold has the highest purity and is the most valuable, but it is also the softest among the three. While a 10K gold ring will be nearly identical in color to a 14K gold ring, an 18K gold ring will have a richer, deeper yellow hue due to its higher gold content.

From the gold rush that flooded California with forty-niners, to the golden age of Hollywood, there isn't a place in the continental US we could associate more with this beautiful metal.
Since we're Rustic & Main, we had to literally inlay some history into this golden band, so we chose a wide inlay of USS California Teak to pull together this ring design.

Since our rings are handcrafted to order, it is important for you to use one of our ring sizers and not depend on a traditional jewelers’ sizing kit to get an accurate size. Our rings are different because many are wider than traditional bands and most of our rings come in a comfort fit style.

The Story Behind This Ring
USS California Battleship Teak Wood
From the forty-niners who flooded California searching for gold to the golden age of Hollywood, there's no state more connected to this metal than California.
We wanted to literally put history into this ring — so we chose a wide inlay of teak wood from the USS California, a battleship commissioned in 1921 that was torpedoed and sunk at Pearl Harbor, raised from the harbor floor, and sent back into combat in WWII. The tight grain and warm golden-brown tones of the teak pair perfectly with solid yellow gold.
