10K gold is harder than 14K and 18K, but 14K and 18K are more pure and therefore more valuable. 18K gold has the highest purity and is the most valuable, but it is also the softest among the three. While a 10K gold ring will be nearly identical in color to a 14K gold ring, an 18K gold ring will have a richer, deeper yellow hue due to its higher gold content.

The Story Behind This Ring
Blue Goldstone
Blue goldstone has a legend behind it: a 17th-century Venetian glassmaker named Vincenzo Miotti may have created it deliberately, or perhaps Italian monks accidentally discovered it when copper shavings fell into molten glass while they were trying to make gold. No one is entirely sure.
What's certain is the result: a material that looks like a piece of midnight sky captured in glass, with a sparkling matrix of metallic inclusions that catch the light the way stars do. Set in recycled gold and sized for a stacking ring or a simple, singular band.
