10K gold is harder than 14K and 18K, but 14K and 18K are more pure and therefore more valuable. 18K gold has the highest purity and is the most valuable, but it is also the softest among the three. While a 10K gold ring will be nearly identical in color to a 14K gold ring, an 18K gold ring will have a richer, deeper yellow hue due to its higher gold content.
We reserve the right to refuse engraving services for any words or phrases deemed inappropriate or offensive. Profanity will not be engraved under any circumstances.
We will send a ring sizing kit to you to ensure the correct fit before creating your ring.

The story behind this ring
Some stories deserve to be carried forward. The Great War men’s solid gold signet ring honors generations of service through authentic materials with a connection to American military history.
World War I uniform wool and walnut wood reclaimed from a World War II-era Springfield 1903 rifle stock come together in a distinctive gold signet design. Olive drab fabric and rich wood grain lend texture and character against the solid gold setting, preserving pieces of the past in a ring made for the present.
Worn as a wedding ring or a personal tribute, The Great War celebrates a legacy worth remembering. Each ring is handcrafted to order in Huntersville, North Carolina.

Since our rings are handcrafted to order, it is important for you to use one of our ring sizers and not depend on a traditional jewelers’ sizing kit to get an accurate size. Our rings are different because many are wider than traditional bands and most of our rings come in a comfort fit style.
If you haven't used our ring sizing kit, select that option and we'll send a FREE ring sizing kit to you with your order. We will begin production on your ring once we have your correct size and width.
All rings are made to order and ship within the timeframe shown on the product page. We offer free US shipping and a 30-day return policy on non-custom items. Read our full return policy here.

A signet's face is a fixed shape and size, so we show every measurement up front — drawn to scale. Shape and direction describe how the face sits on your finger: east to west runs across it, north to south runs along it toward the fingertip.

Signet Guide
Picture it on a hand like yours.
A signet looks different on a small hand's ring finger than on a large hand's pinky. Try both — and every finger in between — before you decide.
The Story Behind This Ring
A Legacy Worth Remembering
Some stories are passed down in photographs, in letters, and in the memories a family holds close. Others live on in the pieces left behind.
The Great War brings two pieces of military history together in a solid gold signet ring made to be worn and remembered. Authentic fabric from a WWI infantryman’s uniform sits at its center, framed by two inlays of Springfield 1903 rifle stock wood. Together, these materials connect the design to generations of service and sacrifice.
Whether worn in honor of someone you love or as a personal tribute to those who served, The Great War keeps that story close.

I gave this to my husband as a Pre-Wedding gift since he chose to wear an engagement ring as well. Since he owned his own cabinet building business and loved to hunt I thought it would be perfect. He loved it.
