The Story Behind This Ring

Natural Emerald & Cultured Pearl — Ancient Stones, Living Beauty

Emerald is one of the oldest gemstones in recorded history, prized by ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman civilizations for its vivid green hue and perceived connection to nature, renewal, and new beginnings. Its color comes from trace amounts of chromium and vanadium within the beryl crystal structure, and no two natural emeralds carry exactly the same depth or character of green. As the birthstone for May, it has long been associated with hope and the start of something new.

The six seed pearls surrounding the emerald are Grade AA cultured white pearls, selected for their smooth surface, consistent round shape, and soft natural luster. Unlike gemstones formed in the earth, pearls grow inside living mollusks, making them one of the only gemstones created by a living creature. In the Isadora, the warmth of the pearl and the vivid depth of the emerald are held together by gold milgrain and leaf detailing, each element chosen to feel as though it grew that way naturally.
