10K gold is harder than 14K and 18K, but 14K and 18K are more pure and therefore more valuable. 18K gold has the highest purity and is the most valuable, but it is also the softest among the three. While a 10K gold ring will be nearly identical in color to a 14K gold ring, an 18K gold ring will have a richer, deeper yellow hue due to its higher gold content.

The Story Behind This Ring
Purpleheart Wood & Sea Lavender
The Mythos draws on two materials with a similar quality: they both carry a color that deepens with time.
British sea lavender — the "everlasting flower," given as a gift to those going on long journeys as a symbol of missing them — fills the center inlay in soft purple tones. The outer inlays are purpleheart wood from Central and South America, a material that appears gray when first cut but slowly turns a deep, rich purple as it is exposed to air and light.
