The Story Behind This Ring
Justice. Resilience. Legacy.
Bass Reeves was one of the most remarkable lawmen America ever produced. The first Black deputy U.S. marshal to serve west of the Mississippi, Reeves patrolled the Indian Territory, known today as Oklahoma, for 32 years with a record that few officers in history have matched. He operated in some of the most lawless land on the frontier, brought in thousands of outlaws, and did it with a fearless dedication to justice that never wavered. The Reeves was built to honor that legacy. Not just as a tribute, but as a reminder of what it looks like when a man stands for something bigger than himself.
Two materials tell his story. Mesquite wood, the same hardy timber used by early settlers to build Spanish missions, ranch houses, and frontier fencing across the dry western landscape, runs through the band as a nod to the land Reeves spent his life protecting. Beside it sits a natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise inlay sourced from the Globe, Arizona Sleeping Beauty mine, the "Tiffany of Turquoise," prized for its clean aquamarine color and worn for centuries across ancient cultures as a stone of protection, wisdom, good fortune, and hope. Together they carry the spirit of the Indian Territory in a way that feels both rugged and deeply intentional.
The band is crafted from Sterlium Plus, a modern sterling silver alloy that's scratch-resistant, tarnish-resistant, nickel-free, and built for everyday wear without losing its brilliance. The Reeves is for the man who understands that real strength is quiet, real justice is earned, and real legacy is worn every single day.
