The Story Behind the Ring
Responsibly Sourced Recycled Gold Wedding Band
Our 100% recycled gold wedding bands use a sustainable form of refined gold that is just as pure and valuable as standard gold but eliminates the negative environmental and social impacts caused by gold mining. This gold wedding band is the perfect way to symbolize your unique love and unity while passing on that love and care to our people, our planet, and future generations.
Whether you choose White Gold for its cool tones, Rose Gold for its rosy hue, or Yellow Gold for its classic look, your one-of-a-kind gold ring will outshine the average big box jewelry store design any day.
Each gold blank used here at Rustic & Main is sourced from Stuller, a brand established in 1970. We are proud to work with a like-minded business that believes in an Earth First Commitment and that every business should operate with social responsibility in mind. Stuller is certified through the Responsible Jewellery Council which holds each business accountable for protecting the human rights of those involved in the jewelry supply chain.
Black Cherry Wood Inlays
Our home sits on what used to be an orchard, and a few old trees still exist near us. The black cherry wood used in this ring comes from a 35+ foot tall black cherry tree that came down in our backyard. It was cut it in lengths of about 6 feet, sealed the ends with wax, and let it cure for over a year. Afterward, we split the logs into quarters and let them dry in our shed. We have had a lot of good use from that old cherry tree and now its wood makes its way into these rings.
Natural Turquoise Ring Inlay Gold Flakes
The natural aquamarine-colored turquoise used in this custom ring is a rare high-quality Sleeping Beauty Turquoise from the Globe, Arizona Sleeping Beauty mine. Considered the “Tiffany of Turquoise” and recognized as the cleanest, purest colored turquoise you’ll find.
Natural turquoise is unaltered by any chemical processes and is not dyed. One of the first gemstones to ever be mined, turquoise has long been celebrated by ancient cultures as a stone of protection, wisdom, good fortune, and hope.
